Addiction Aftercare Services

You didn't get sober alone, and you don’t have to try to stay sober alone.

CAST (Complete Aftercare Support Team) is a substance abuse aftercare program and clinical support team designed to assist individuals transition back into their lives with a sense of independence, security and the ability to sustain life long sobriety.

Why is Aftercare important?

Recovery is a process not an event.

A well structured aftercare plan can be as important as the client’s stay in residential treatment.  Addiction is a disease and with every disease comes the possibility of relapse. This is even more common with drug and alcohol addiction.  Many individuals leave treatment at 30 days – right when the healing process just begins.  It is an extremely fragile time and addicts and alcoholics are at high risk for relapse without continued care and support.  Returning to home, family, job and prior lifestyle is a difficult and stressful experience for addicts struggling to practice new life skills without using drugs or alcohol.  Most addicts and alcoholics who relapse will do so within the first year.  Research has show that a strong support network greatly increases the individual’s chances of sustained sobriety.

Research has shown that individuals who actively participate in an aftercare plan rooted in relapse prevention, the likelihood of maintaining long term recovery is greatly enhanced.

How does CAST work?

CAST is a 6 to 12 month program that supports an individual’s recovery by providing a highly individualized aftercare treatment plan with a hand selected team of licensed and trained addiction professionals.

Individualized Treatment

The drug of choice, the client's history and culture, length of use, motivation for treatment, environment and social support play major roles in determining the most appropriate treatment, intervention and aftercare.

Family Services

Our family component sets us apart from other programs.  Research has shown that individuals who have family participating in recovery more than doubles the chance that the addict or alcoholic will stay sober.  We also believe family participation is critical.  For that reason we can provide similar support, education and therapy for family members who wish to participate.

Participants learn the following:

  • Al-Anon and 12-step support provided
  • How to effectively communicate concerns
  • How to identify relapse behavior in themselves and their loved one
  • Understanding co-dependency and the difference between love and enabling
